week 2, friday

they are... somewhere, as long as it has a place to sit because saber is sitting. they're just fiddling with their sword, a neutral expression on their face. ]

[ you say this as if they weren't sitting on the ground in the middle of the woods last night, do they really need a place especially for sitting

anyway fidelio is... less on edge than he was last night (pre-weed cookie, and now i'm just imagining what eupha's weed cookie would look like in crk) but it's still pretty bad!!! ]

...You think someone actually found her there and chased her, or she left on her own?

... I'm not sure. But I do think she's the kind of person who wouldn't want us to accidentally get injured if a fight broke out here.

Was also hopin' it'd keep us lost enough that we'd stay in, if it were one of us wakin' up with the urge to kill someone instead of someone on the outside.

I believe so. She kept telling me that she owed me, so she was likely trying to fulfill that.

I was doing her a favor. Or, she saw it as a favor, and she's stubborn.

I don't know if it's getting worse, or just that killers also now have multiple weeks of trial experience like we do.

Fair. Got a lot more places they can make us waste time searching too.

Each new place seems to get deadlier, too, with how to kill someone...

Yeah, this one was a proper death trap waitin' to happen.

...Hadn't really been countin' the kitchen in that, though.

Bloody well hope whoever did that one was affected by this thing messin' with people's heads.

I would hope so, but it also concerns me that we didn't catch someone affected... would they just kill again?

Reckon there's a good chance of it. From what the angels were sayin', it sounded like it'd just get worse if you left it.

[ and they really did just leave the fucking vore sin out there in the wild ]

Would've been a lot better to catch that one and just throw the willing killer in a cell.

And if we assume someone new will get hit next week, then... what, two afflicted people running around? On top of the possibility of another apple killer?

Probably the only way we're gonna get less than two murders next week is if the newly afflicted person just happens to take out this week's.

... I am not sure if we are that lucky...

I'd be shocked if we were.

Hm... do you think there might be clues in behavior? Perhaps it would become more obvious?

Hard to say when we've never had one get away before. No tellin' whether they're still going to be actively affected during the week or if it'll go dormant 'til it's time for the next murder.

I guess we can keep an eye out, but there's usually so many different things that affect our personalities that happen it may be hard...

[ curses... weekly effects... ]

Well, given how much of a role food seemed to play in that murder, lookin' out for changes related to appetite or somethin' might be a decent lead.

Well, it would require us knowing a lot about each other's eating habits...

Most of us have eaten in front of people since we've been here, at least, so it's not like there's no chance of noticing a change of some sort.

Anyway, I don't know that we've got other serious leads at all, so we might just have to do our best with this.

It's better than just twiddling our thumbs and waiting for Thursday like we usually do.

week 5, monday

[ they can be in the new train area... they ran into each other.

saber is sitting and petting a dog quietly. ]

[ looks down at them and their dog. ]

Big week for animals, apparently.

[ lifts up one of the dog's paws and waves at del with it ]

Yeah. Hi.

[ despite the somewhat unenthusiastic response, though, he'll come over to sit in the grass nearby too. ]

Feels a little like a last ditch effort to try to keep us out of trouble.

Mm, perhaps if they did this from the start. Imagine how much calmer Anders would have been if he always had the cat.
