I knew one of them would probably be free because of how the vote works, anyway, but I hoped we'd at least know who.

I know people were trying to figure out what to do... like a jail, or something.

Yeah, I know. But it won't do any good now, unless we plan to do that to everyone that could've matched the evidence.

Yeah... it would only work for a case where we definitely figure out who the other person is, like with Firefly.

If we at least had a lead, I could check someone. But... there really wasn't enough to go off of, even for that, was there?

No... it would have been a waste if you used it on any of the gun users, because it wasn't difficult to narrow it down between them. And we hadn't narrowed the other suspects down nearly enough.

I think all we had were the shoes and the shirts, but who knows how much of that was accurate? Especially with those cookies.

I don't even know where to start, and everything's gone now.

Losing all the evidence really is a major blow... it would be so helpful if we could just keep easily investigating after...

I don't get why they even do that. Sure, it makes sense if we figure it out, but what's the point of limiting us to nine hours in the first place?

Maybe they explained it? I may have missed it... but it would be much easier if there was any extension at all.

I think they did the last time it was two, but... I don't remember why. And it's such bull, anyway. It doesn't help us or show any care for the dead.

None of this gets easier.

I don't think it's supposed to. And the longer we're here, the better we know each other... the more we don't might not want to believe that certain people are involved.

That was such an awful way to kill him, though. It could happen again.

I think we all need to think more about what we can do if we get targeted by killers to protect ourselves. Or, at the very least, make it easier to catch them if that fails.

If even Zhongli could be taken out like that, then I don't know what the rest of us could do for protection. But trying to leave clues... that's something anyone can do. They just need to be something we can understand.

Something we can understand while at the same time not being obvious enough that the killer would notice...

Someone suggested Morse code to me last week or so, but everyone knows about it now. And who'd remember that while someone's trying to kill them, anyway?

Code in general is not a bad idea, but you're right... at this point any of us would be able to recognize that one.

Maybe. I think the problem is if just a few people know, then - what if something happens to them, too? Or what if the killer's one of the people who knows?

But maybe that's a risk with anything we'd try to leave behind.

All we can do is try, I suppose. It's what we have been doing.

Apparently we need to try harder.

Sure, but look at where we are now.

Oh, the result isn't what we wanted it to be.

But I think we should still acknowledge how hard we worked. Isn't it a good sign for how we care for each other?

...I guess. That's just going to make it harder on us the longer this goes on, though.
